How to take

Why do I need to give my child Vitamin D?

Vitamin D is vital to keep your child’s bones and teeth strong, support their immune system and a whole host of other important biological functions throughout their development.

What is the recommended daily dose of Vitamin D3?

In the UK, the NHS recommends that children over the age of four and adults take 10 micrograms of Vitamin D3 (400IU) daily in the autumn and winter months. This is because the sun is not strong enough for the body to efficiently make Vitamin D, and it’s difficult to obtain enough from diet alone.

Do the Gummies provide my child with the recommended dose of Vitamin D3?

Each gummy provides 12.5 micrograms (500 IU) of Vitamin D3, slightly above the national recommendations. Children over the age of four can take one to two Gummies, providing a total dose of 25 micrograms (1000IU).

Why would my child need a higher dose of Vitamin D3?

Some children may be at greater risk of Vitamin D3 deficiency. If you’re concerned, we recommend speaking to your doctor or one of our nutrition experts for further guidance during a free 15-minute consultation.

How different are the new Children’s Vitamin D3 Gummies from the previous formula?

You asked, we listened. The formula provides the same dosage as the previous, but has a few ingredient tweaks. Eliminating artificial sweeteners, the aroma and flavouring derive solely from the juice and puree of 13 whole fruits. We’ve also made them softer so they’re easier to chew.

Are these Vitamin D3 Gummies sugar-free?

To reassure you, the coating you’ll find on our Gummies is citrus fibre, not sugar. However, while they don’t contain any added ‘refined’ sugars, sugar alcohol, or sweeteners, they can’t be labelled sugar-free as they contain 3.5 g of naturally occurring sugars from the whole fruit juices.

What source is your Vitamin D3 from?

The source is Lichen, a plant-based form of Vitamin D3, making it ideal for vegetarians and vegans, a more sustainable and ethical option, but delivering the same bioavailability and health benefits as conventional Vitamin D3.

Can my 2 or 3-year-old child take these, and if so, how many?

This fantastic product, when used alongside their omega-3 , multi-nutrient vitamin and a diet low in sugar or with sugar alternatives, has significantly contributed to my daughter's improved health.
