Protein balls pack a nutritional punch and are a great alternative to processed snacks. Ingredients like almonds are rich in protein, fibre and minerals magnesium, calcium and zinc to keep bones and muscles well looked after. Perfect when you’re on the move, as a pre-workout snack or to beat the 4pm slump. 

Method:

 

  1. Place the dates, protein powder powder and peanut butter into a food processor or blender. 
  2. Blend until the mixture resembles a paste. 
  3. Add the almonds and maple syrup tbsp by tbsp, until desired consistency is achieved. The mixture should be a little sticky and roll easily into balls when squished together.
  4. Use a spoon to roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls.

    • 175g pitted Medjool dates
    • 2 tbsp Wild Nutrition Organic Protein + Superfood Powder
    • 4 tbsp peanut butter
    • 150 g raw almonds
    • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup (add to the consistency you need to bind all the ingredients)
